About me

My name is Candice Leah Young. I am a 31-year-old queer woman traveling the world full-time with my partner Alexandria and our fur babies, Duncan and Duke. I love to cook, most of my recipes come straight from Pinterest but about halfway through I start improvising - sometimes for the better, and others, well maybe I should have stuck to the recipe. I am a newly revived avid reader of fiction and murder mystery and am trying to get back into the rhythm of writing, storytelling, and event planning. This passion project began after working for the City Of Raleigh, NC for a few years, hosting and co-producing events, music festivals, and local shows at the Red Hat Amphitheater. During this time, I had a few friends getting married in small venues who needed an extra hand in the production and trusted me with this honor. The love affair was born!

Almost 10 years later, I still love supporting folks in their love journey. I specialize in queer couples, non-traditional venues, micro-weddings (under 50 guests), and day-of coordination. I am newly invested in doing queer-couple consultations to help you find vendors and venues that are safe spaces and fit your needs - talk about two brides, and one bridal suite heteronomativity frustrations!
