About me

My name is Candice Leah Young. I am a 29-year-old living in downtown Raleigh with house full of plants and a head full of memories, dreams, doubts, and a few wild ideas. I love to cook, most of my recipes come straight from Pinterest but about halfway through I just start improvising. I am a newly revived avid reader of most things fiction and murder mystery and am trying to get back into the rhythm of writing, storytelling, and event planning.

I have been working in events for the past 6 years. I worked for the City of Raleigh for three years helping co-produce city-wide festivals like the 4th of July, Brewgaloo, the Bluegrass Festival, and the first Dorothea Dix music festival that is now know as J Cole’s Dreamville.

About 5 years ago, a friend of mine asked me if I would consider being her day-of coordinator for a small cabin wedding in Lake Tahoe, CA and that began my love for wedding coordination and design. I have now worked over a dozen weddings with some of my favorite people and have experience in vendor selection, day-of-events scheduling, coordinating vendor arrival and exit, table and reception design, and all the little details in between.
